Resigning From Stability
As he launches himself from a polished wooden boat into open water suspended somewhere between freedom and unemployment.
The work reflects the emotional contradiction of leaving behind a stable career to pursue something far less predictable, but far more alive. Equal parts courage, delusion, optimism, and financial irresponsibility.
Created during my transition from law into full-time art, the piece captures the moment logic loosens its grip and instinct takes over. Sometimes there’s no real plan. You just resign from stability and jump.
